KERNEL DESIGN

Clear boundaries.
Clear responsibility.

Anix is the kernel, not a complete operating system. This page separates the kernel itself from the surrounding components that a future Anix-based environment would need.

SELECTED LAYER / KERNEL

The low-level core.

Anix is the kernel layer. It is intended to handle low-level responsibilities and define the interfaces that a separate user environment can build on.

The kernel is the project itself. It is not a complete operating system.
